TopoForge automatically generates laser-cut sheets or 3D printer meshes from topographical data. Follow these steps:
1. Upload GPX (Optional)
Start by uploading your route. This centers the map on your trail and prepares the path for engraving/embossing onto the model.
2. Select Map Area
Hold Shift and drag on the map. This defines the exact boundary area of your physical model and fetches the high-resolution elevation data.
3. Configure Settings
Set your Contour Interval (higher for steep mountains, lower for flat areas), the physical Model Width in mm, and choose between SVG Laser Cutting or STL 3D Printing.
4. Generate Payload
Click generate. TopoForge will compute the meshes, mathematically nest the 2D sheets, and bundle everything into a ZIP file ready for fabrication.
