There’s a ton of great stuff out there on Youtube (and some rubbish…) Create your own Youtube channel to curate and share video content.

Tips:

  • Link to presentation notes
  • gets icons from Nounproject
  • Remove adds from videos with Ad Block plus
  • Teach Youtube with what you like/dislike with editing recommended videos (Three dots->Not Interested)
  • Manage your viewing history.
  • Turn on Restricted mode (bottom of home screen) to manage content (recommended for Primary school teachers. This can be managed school wide through the Admin console. Also, you can give teachers the ability to ‘white list’ blocked videos.
  • Search for a channel by using ‘,’ in the search (ted, channel) is the only searching the channels.
  • Search for a playlist by using ‘,’ in the search (emotion, playlist)
  • Add someone else’s playlist to your playlist
  • Share playlists via QR codes
